While in training in another state, three officers discovered that a young man had broken into their Airbnb overnight.

It was a surprise to these three Montana cops when they discovered that a man had broken into their Milwaukee Airbnb while they were sleeping. But the intruder had not come to steal something: he had simply found the wrong accommodation!

Sure enough, around 2:30 a.m., Deputy Charles Pesola heard strange noises before finding a stranger sleeping in the house, reports the Daily Mail. The officers then handcuffed the 19-year-old, who was under the influence of alcohol, and called state police.

In a video posted on TikTok, the officers detail this somewhat unlikely story and show footage of their “surprise guest.” The Milwaukee agents can be seen arriving to pick up the young man, who says it’s the first time he’s woken up in someone else’s house. He seems unable to explain how he got there.

“The crime doesn’t stop, and Milwaukee needs our help,” one of the Montana police officers humorously replies to his colleagues in Milwaukee.

In another video posted later, Agent Charles Pesola explains that they made sure the teenager was going home and that there was no warrant for his arrest. “We didn’t prosecute, and he didn’t go to jail. They just took him back to where he needed to go, ”he said.

The day after the break-in, Charles Pesola said it could have been a lot different for him if he had arrived at someone else’s house. “What if this guy had ended up in a child’s bed, or my wife’s?” The morning could have been different, ”he said.
