After six years on the run, Christopher was finally arrested more than 1,600 kilometers from his home after faking his death.
In 2015, Christopher Tomberlin attempted to assassinate his girlfriend by throwing an ax at her. The weapon misses its target and lodges in the door of the couple’s home. Arrested and questioned by police in Bibb County, Georgia, the man is released pending charge.
From there began six years on the run for the man who went so far as to fake his own death in order to escape justice, reports the Daily Mail. “Christopher Tomberlin used many aliases in Oklahoma,” said Andrew Joseph, the spokesperson for the US Marshals Service. As of 2019, his movements were unknown. That run ended with new information suggesting the man may live in the west, in Oklahoma City, and therefore more than 1,600 miles from where he went missing.
The trace of the man could be found thanks to the work of the police who came to arrest him at his home, without incident.
