Considering the success of Death Stranding on PS4 and PC, it is not surprising to see Kojima Productions continue to support him. It was therefore with little surprise, but great interest that we learned of the existence of a Death Stranding: Director’s Cut coming to PS5 at Kickoff Live! of Summer Game Fest.
The information about him was scant, but it is much less following the dissemination of a trailer dedicated to novelties during the State of Play from this evening. Death Stranding: Director’s Cut will therefore introduce exclusive story missions, new areas with new enemies, improved combat mechanics with in-depth unarmed combat, an energy cannon or mounted turret, a marksmanship training center, original delivery options like a catapult or robot companion, and even vehicle races on several circuits !
Jay Boor added on the PlayStation Blog what the backups will be transferable, whether theupgrade next-gen will cost € 9.99, and that the content Half-Life and Cyberpunk 2077. He also specifies that, in terms of display modes, we will have the choice between a Mode Performance dedicated to the 60 fps and one Quality Mode turned towards the 4K native.
Death Stranding Director’s Cut is the ultimate experience.
Featuring the unique Social Strand system that allows players to stay connected with other players around the world, Death Stranding Director’s Cut will allow players to experience Death Stranding, the genre-defying open-world action-adventure game and performed by Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux and Lindsay Wagner, in its fully remastered and enhanced version for PS5 ™ consoles.

Death Stranding Director’s Cut is packed with new content as well as improved gameplay features. Today, however, I wanted to take the time to clarify a few things that have been circulating following the launch of our teaser during the Summer Games Fest on June 10th… if you haven’t seen it, you can throw it in. have a look here …
For starters, the content we introduce in Death Stranding Director’s Cut has been completely designed and developed from the ground up, following the launch of the first Death Stranding. Whether it was the Shooting Range area, additional missions, or the all-new Fragile Circuit race mode, our goal was to deliver new content that would expand the world of Death Stranding while enhancing the gaming experience. .
This new content is also not just added, it has been carefully integrated into the base experience of the game and will be possible to discover it as you play. Most of this new content is fairly easy to find, but it will still take you a while to find and unlock certain items. While I can’t go into details yet about the new missions and enhanced storylines, I can still tell you that a few clues have been added to the last trailer we released. They give you some pointers on what to expect. We’ll be giving you more info on that in the coming weeks, but I can already confirm that all of the Half-Life and Cyberpunk 2077 content introduced in the PC version of Death Stranding will also be available in Death Stranding Director’s. Cut.
