Demonic viscera in light
The best FPS of recent years continues to blow our heads. DOOM Eternal shines with the launch of new NVIDIA graphics cards.
The game was already running very well thanks to the power of its id Tech 7 engine and its Vulkan API, but here we go to a whole new level with 4K ray-tracing which spins without blinking despite the intense action.
The difference is mainly on the side of reflective surfaces. A small detail that has its charm, although it will not necessarily be noticed at the heart of the ultra dynamic action of id Software’s FPS.
Despite everything, this supposes enormous computing power, and we see that the 3080 Ti manages to manage without problem: DOOM Eternal in 4K ray tracing does not go down never below 50 FPS in the gameplay video above – and again we saw it only once go below 60 FPS. Most of the time the title turns around 70 – 80 FPS in combat and between 100 and 120 FPS in exploration without enemies.
Until recently, such graphic quality at this level of fluidity was simply unthinkable.
