When you get to Outland, you’re going to want to fly. Unfortunately, in WoW TBC Classic you have to wait until level 70.
With the arrival of World of Warcraft TBC, players will be able to fly into the new region of Outland. But a question arises and we now have the answer: will it be possible to fly as soon as it arrives on the new continent? The answer is no since the flying skill is not available at level 60. You must wait until level 70 to access the flight to WoW TBC. The only exception is made for the flight form of the druids to TBC since the 60% form is available at level 68.
So if you are wondering if there is a riding instructor in Hellfire Peninsula like everyone is used to on Retail, know that there is not. These instructors are in Shadowmoon Valley, which explains why the skill is not available from level 60 given the level of this region. You will have to wait until level 70 and complete your pexing TB in a terrestrial mount.
Why do you have to be level 70 to fly?
At the time, it was not possible to fly at level 60 as was the case with Retail before the level readjustment. Blizzard therefore wishes to reproduce the same scenario and TBC and pexing will be done in a terrestrial mount. Once 70, you will be able to go to Shadowmoon Valley to learn the flying skill (800g for 60% and 5,000g for 280%).
Location of Flight Instructor NPCs in WoW TBC
Depending on your faction (Alliance or Horde), the NPC is not the same:
- Ilsa Fulminebière at the Bastion of the Wildhammer
- Olrokk in Shadowmoon Village
