Deathloop doesn’t seem to run smoothly on the PC. Gamers complain about bad frame rates and it is said to stutter here and there too. Developer Arkane Lyon has now confirmed the problem and is looking for a solution.
Jerks in the loop
In a statement by the community manager of Deathloop it is said that the studio will dedicate itself to this problem “with priority”.
“Hey everyone, I’m one of the Deathloop community managers,” began MortalEmperor’s response to a Reddit post claiming that Deathloop’s problems were due to the graphical quality of the game.
He wrote that Arcane reports were known “that some PC users have stuttering problems” in Deathloop. “We are currently investigating the problem as the highest priority and will provide you with more detailed information as soon as possible.”
What is to blame for stuttering?
Although Deathloop has been praised by many editors in the sky, the Steam users are not so in agreement. In the Steam reviews, Arcane’s loop shooter only comes up with a “balanced”. Some players are of the opinion that the stutterers assume the Denuvo copy protection used.
One user writes: “Welcome to the latest Denuvo jerking orgy straight from hell. Unplayable with this copy protection.”
Alexander Battaglia of Digital Foundry says on Twitter that there is “no direct evidence” that “there is microstuttering or that Denuvo is to blame for anything. There is a problem with what looks like stuttering, but actually it isn’t is performance-related. “

“It seems that moving the camera with the mouse causes problems with everything except 60fps. Different problems arise depending on the frame rate,” he writes.
Deathloop seems to be better optimized for console gaming, as these issues don’t seem to occur on the PlayStation 5. Arkane Lyons Deathloop was released on September 14, 2021 for PS5 and PC.
