After its launch at the Phare des Baleines, the Monumental Tour, the tour mixing electronic music and heritage, continues its journey. This time, the DJ Michael Canitrot, accompanied by new talents, settled in the abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel. The event will be broadcast on 19 September at 11 pm on television and on social media, on the occasion of European Heritage Days, to celebrate this year’s theme: “heritage for all”.
A space-time journey
DJ Michael Canitrot, passionate about history and architecture, wanted to highlight heritage treasures in his Monumental Tour. For him, this is a way of making them discover from a new angle and raising awareness about their preservation, in particular through a call for donations. The abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel will be the scene of this new electronic and visual show, which sees very big: the Monumental Tour and the ESA (European Space Agency) are joining forces for the occasion. Photos and videos taken from space will be reinterpreted and projected onto the abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel, symbolizing the meeting between places and eras, in a unique space-time journey.
For this new date, Michael Canitrot will be accompanied by the singer, songwriter, composer and DJ Coco. It will present a special version of the title Falling, which will be released soon. The duo of dancers Louise Hadj and Ablaye Diop will also be present and will share their urban, electro and contemporary universe which will take the audience on a journey through the twists and turns of the body and the heart.
Their performances will be accompanied by the scenography of AV-Extended, a collective of architects and designers accustomed to monumental visual creations (they have worked among others for the Palace of Versailles and the Cannes Film Festival). A Crédit Mutuel event, broadcast on September 19 at 11 p.m. Live the digital experience on Michael Canitrot’s Facebook pages, Monumental Tour and on RIFFX, the Crédit Mutuel music platform.
