Game news The Witcher Monster Slayer: chaotic new start for CD Projekt

A little eclipsed this week by the release of expected titles, it is today that The Witcher: Monster Slayer was released. And it is half-hearted that its launch was carried out, in particular because of a server problem.
As evidenced by the various screenshots taken this morning, The Witcher: Monster Slayer undergoes regular maintenance. On Twitter, many players are complaining that they cannot play for the title right away. A first maintenance took place this night, giving way to another this morning (09:45). The resumption of the game was scheduled for 10:00 a.m., before being postponed three times (11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m. then 2:00 p.m.). Maintenance potentially linked to the underestimation of the number of players wanting to connect to the title, causing an overflow of servers.
The Witcher: Monster Slayer is a game developed by Spokko Games and published by CD Projekt. It borrows the same mechanics as Pokémon GO, a successful mobile game. As part of The Witcher game, players are transformed into a witcher. They must defeat monsters, whose existence is made possible by augmented reality, thanks to their equipment and their powers. The game is available from today on iOS and Android.
