The Lot prefecture communique.
The Lot is currently facing suspected cases of variant delta (variant this « if »). Thus, 12 suspected cases were detected. The municipalities of Peyrilles and St-Sozy are more particularly affected.
To control the spread of the delta variant and avoid an epidemic resumption in this sector and more generally in the department, all resources are mobilized and reinforced to deploy an immediate action plan.
A screening operation is organized with the support of the Territorial Support Platform, liberal health professionals and town hall services:
– Friday July 9, 2021 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Peyrilles multipurpose room,
– Monday July 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Saint-Sozy village hall.
A new call for vaccination is launched
LThe Cazals-Salviac vaccination center will travel exceptionally to the village hall of Peyrilles on Thursday July 15, 2021 to offer first injections without appointment in order to protect all those who wish it. A similar operation will be organized in Saint-Sozy following the results of the massive tests of July 12. In addition, the nearby vaccination centers, Gourdon and Souillac, are organizing themselves to offer additional slots.
All vaccination centers in the department remain mobilized ; access to vaccination is simplified with appointments available quickly, the possibility of adjusting the duration between the first and the second injection between 21 and 49 days during the summer period as well as the offer of serological tests to identify people who will only need a single dose when they have already been contaminated.
As a reminder, vaccination is open to all people aged 12 and over. Minors can come to the center accompanied or not, with parental authorization: https // solidarites-sante.gouv.fr / major files / vaccine-covid19 / I-am-a-particular / article / la-vaccination-des -minors.
Throughout the department, liberal health professionals and SDIS firefighters also remain mobilized and continue to ensure vaccination in pharmacies, medical offices and occasional operations.
The serious cases which are to be deplored in recent days in Occitania should encourage all those who are still hesitant to protect their health thanks to the vaccine. This call primarily concerns all vulnerable people and healthcare workers who have not yet been vaccinated. It also concerns the youngest, who can now all be vaccinated.
Compliance with isolation measures
The Prefect of Lot, the departmental direction of the ARS, the direction of the CPAM of Lot appeal to the civility and sense of responsibility of all those who would test positive for covid-19, whatever the strain or variant, and in all contact cases identified in the context of contact tracing operated by the CPAM teams to scrupulously respect the isolation measures intended to break the chain of contamination. It is also on this condition that it will be possible at local level to control the spread of the virus.
Alongside the healthcare teams and local elected officials, the State services call on the population of the Lot not to relax their vigilance and to react by participating massively in the screening and vaccination operations made available to all. Continuing to respect barrier gestures is also essential;
The State services would like to thank all the actors mobilized in the service of public health in the Lot. Faced with a variant that is progressing rapidly, everything is now decided for this summer and for the start of the school year.
