The American car is switching to lithium batteries, and that’s an understatement. Ford F150 Lightning, Hummer, Lincoln, Tesla, the offer remains very high-end for the moment, despite some proposals such as the Chevrolet Bolt. And that shouldn’t change with the arrival of the all-new-generation Grand Cherokee. 11 years after the current one, it was about time!
This new Grand Cherokee, here it is at a glance. Jeep released a few images on the occasion of the big Stellantis day. Unlike the Grand Wagoneer which will be 100% electric, the Grand Cherokee 4xe will be a plug-in hybrid, just like the Wrangler franchiser.
The presentation and launch are expected to take place next year. It will be the most upscale Jeep offering in Europe, since the Wagoneer is unlikely to be marketed on the Old Continent. Remember that the American manufacturer is targeting 70% of its sales in plug-in hybrid or electric vehicles by 2025.
