A 17-year-old girl was shot dead near Marseille, she is the “collateral victim” of a shooting according to the police.
The facts took place around midnight in Septèmes-les-Vallons, not far from Marseille. The police were called to a vehicle riddled with bullets. Three people were present in the car: two young women including the victim, and a young man known to the police for violence and drugs.
A “collateral victim”
Several individuals in another car fired dozens of times at the vehicle with the victim on board, explained Rudy Manna, the head of Alliance Police 13 on the BFMTV antenna. The weapons used are a shotgun and a Kalashnikov.
“It was probably amateurs who did that, they shot and hit three times in the head, the young girl who was in the back, who was 17 years old and who was certainly not initially targeted by those shots, “says Rudy Manna on BFMTV.
The other young woman, born in 1998, was not hit by the gunfire. The 21-year-old suffered a shoulder injury. According to two police sources at BFMTV, the latter appears to be the person targeted by the shots. The victim was not known to the police and would be a collateral victim. An investigation is underway.
The authors have fled and are wanted by the police. The 17-year-old girl is the sixth gun victim in the Marseille region in two weeks.
