Stephen Louis Mailagi is now vice champion of France Espoirs in the 7kg shot put. The young ASFI Villejuif licensee won silver with a throw of 14m66 during the French Espoirs Championships which took place in Caen on July 3 and 4.

As a reminder, the young Wallisian athlete had already obtained a silver medal in the shot put during his first participation in the French Championships in the cadet category in February 2018. He was then 17 years old. Before joining the ASFI Villejuif club, Stephen Mailagi was a silver medalist in the shot put at the Oceania athletics in Fiji in June 2017.
