A couple of managers of a reception hall in the Var where a wedding was being prepared were found dead on Saturday, killed “a priori by firearm”, we learned from the public prosecutor of Draguignan, Patrice Cambrerou .
The victims were found by a caterer and his employee in Tourves, near Brignoles, on Saturday, added the prosecutor. The man, born in 1956 and his wife born in 1959, are “a priori dead by firearms”. Forensic examinations will have to confirm this, added the prosecutor.
“This is a very large property and the findings will certainly last part of the night,” added Cambrerou.
According to information from France Bleu Provence, it was the event caterer who was worried about not hearing from the managers, and went to their home with the owners’ son, who discovered the bodies.
Still according to France Bleu, the woman’s body was “curled up” in the bathtub in the bathroom, on the first floor. Some rooms in their house were reportedly “turned over” and a safe was opened. The crime scene was analyzed for eight hours.
