The XV of France is soon back on the pitch! More than three months after its last official match against Scotland (27-23 defeat), the French rugby team is back in service next Wednesday, after 14 days of strict quarantine imposed by Australian authorities, for the first of three matches of the XV de France tour in Australia.

To face the Australian ogre, two-time world champions, French coach Fabien Galthié unveiled his holders on Saturday July 3 with a lot of surprises. Deprived of many executive players for this series of three matches against the Wallabies, Galthié started two novices for the first meeting in Sydney, Castres hooker Gaëtan Barlot and Perpignan back Melvyn Jaminet, who was playing in Pro D2 this season. Five other neophytes, Sipili Falatea, Anthony Étrillard, Quentin Walcker, Florent Vanverberghe and Teddy Iribaren, appear on the bench according to the composition unveiled by the former Stade Français coach during the general assembly of the French Rugby Federation (FFR) , duplex from Australia.

The other two meetings are scheduled for the 13th in Melbourne and the 17th in Brisbane.
