While France is gradually regaining its freedoms, an update on the Covid-19 epidemic with figures from Public Health France and the Ministry of Health.
This Thursday, June 24, 2,007 new cases of Covid-19 were identified in 24 hours, according to figures from Public Health France, a total of 5,764,329 cases confirmed since the start of the epidemic.
The positivity rate over the last seven days, or the percentage of the number of people who tested positive out of the total number of people tested, was 0.9%.
The pressure on the hospital continues to decrease, with France having 9,392 people hospitalized for Covid-19.
In the intensive care units also the decline continues with 1,439 patients treated, the lowest since mid-October.
45 people have died of Covid-19 in hospitals in the past 24 hours. The total toll shows 110,935 dead since the start of the epidemic, including 84,479 in hospital.
Since the start of the vaccination campaign in France, 32,251,464 people have received at least one injection and 18,734,028 have received all doses of vaccine (figures updated on June 21 by the Ministry of Health).
