No more Covid-19 patients at the HUG

It hadn’t happened for a year, almost to the day. On Friday, no patient was hospitalized in Geneva for an active Covid-19. After confirming the news to us this morning, the press service of the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) announces that two new cases have been admitted in the meantime. Anyway, we have to go back to June 21, 2020 to find a day without a patient hospitalized for an active Covid.

In addition, the HUG only have about sixty post-Covid patients, those with sequelae of the disease. At the height of the second wave last fall, Geneva counted as many as 642 hospitalized patients at the same time, 735 including post-Covid patients.
