The Amiens prosecutor’s office announced this Tuesday morning the arrest of 2 men of 27 years old, presumed authors of the murder of the Romanian truck driver killed a month ago, on May 16, in the Somme on a rest area of the motorway A 28. They are of Iraqi Kurdish origin. One was arrested in the Rouen region, the other in Grand-Synthe in the North.
The 39-year-old truck driver was stabbed to death in the Translaye area in the direction of Abbeville Rouen. The alleged perpetrators are being prosecuted for intentional homicide and attempted robbery with violence resulting in death. The DNA of one of the two men was found on a surgical mask left on the motorway rest area. Both dispute the facts. They face up to 30 years in prison.
