Each stage of the competition reached corresponds to a bonus for the Red Devils, who can claim 435,000 euros.
The winnings to be distributed by UEFA on the occasion of Euro 2020 will amount to a total of 331 million, with 9.5 million already guaranteed for each participating nation. An amount that will then be used in particular for bonuses awarded to players, a subject that always creates a debate. Our colleagues from Het Laatste Nieuws unveiled this Thursday the bonuses that our Red Devils could receive.
In the event of a title on July 11, each Belgian player will receive 435,000 euros. Other amounts have also been fixed according to the route from Belgium to the Euro. The bonus will be 42,000 euros in the event of qualification for the knockout phase, 90,000 in the eighth, 170,000 in the quarterfinals and 290,000 in the semi-finals. In the event of a lost final, the Red Devils will receive 370,000 euros.
These bonuses are down slightly compared to the 2018 World Cup, where the Devils received 312,000 euros for their third place.
In comparison, in France, the 26 players of Didier Deschamps could receive 340,000 euros each in the event of coronation, while Germany plans to pay 400,000 euros in premium.
