(Montreal) An attempted murder occurred Thursday in the Saint-Michel area of Montreal. Two 17-year-old teenagers were shot, but their lives are not feared.

A call was made to 911 at around 4:20 p.m., due to gunshots heard on boulevard des Grandes-Prairies, near the 24e avenue.
“On arriving at the scene, the police located several casings on the ground on Boulevard des Grandes-Prairies, but no victim was located,” said the spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM ), Jean-Pierre Brabant.
The first victim, injured in the upper body, was found thanks to information obtained by witnesses on the 54e street, near boulevard Pie-IX.
The second teenager, also shot in the upper body, was located in a vehicle parked on Boulevard Pie-IX, near Boulevard Industriel.
Two security perimeters were erected by the SPVM, where the cartridge cases were found and where the first man was located.
The canine squad has been deployed to the scene, and investigators will analyze the scene to clarify the circumstances of the event.
