A warrant of committal has been issued, the man therefore goes directly to prison upon the announcement of the deliberation, for 4 months.
Earlier today, the prosecutor had requested 18 months in prison with a non-convertible committal warrant against the latter.
Deprived of his civic rights for three years
In addition to this judgment, Damien Tarel receives a definitive ban from exercising a public function, a ban on possession of a weapon for a period of 5 years, and is deprived of his civil rights for three years.
He must also undergo psychological care for at least two years and not commit any new offenses.
At the hearing, the assailant said he felt “invested” by the “yellow vests” and the “French people in general.”
“I would not want to put our democracy on trial, but I think he was not elected by the entire French population”, he also declared, also assuring that according to his point of view , “Macron represents the downfall of our country very well.”
