David Weiser, spokesperson for the Jewish community of Quebec and co-founder of Unit Quebec, will be the candidate of Team Savard in the district of Plateau, learned The Journal.
The information will be formalized Tuesday afternoon at a press briefing during which four candidates, including Mr. Weiser, will be confirmed by the political party of the outgoing mayor, Régis Labeaume.
Located in Sainte-Foy, the Plateau is currently represented by the vice-president of the executive committee, Rémy Normand, who recently announced that he will not seek a new mandate.
