After the heat, it’s time for thunderstorms. The sun is shining over most areas on Tuesday and temperatures will hover between 25 ° C and nearly 30 ° C almost everywhere during the afternoon. But beware of Météo France alert, the situation will deteriorate. A stormy degradation will arrive at the beginning of the afternoon from the South-West. Gradually, the rains and thunderstorms will spread to the Charente. These thunderstorms could be strong locally, with a risk of hail and good accumulations of rain and a few gusts of wind at 65km / h.
Météo France has thus placed a large western part of the country including the Charente in yellow vigilance (level 2 out of 4) because of these thunderstorms. The weather channel forecasts “Heavy local precipitation in 1 hour to 2 hours, with accumulations of up to 25 mm (Editor’s note: 25 liters per square meter) and corresponding on average to ten days of precipitation in June”.
