The man suspected of being the author of an assault on Sunday in Cergy-Pontoise against an Uber Eats delivery man was arrested around 12:45 p.m. in the 10th arrondissement of Paris on Tuesday, BFMTV learned confirming a information from Parisian. According to a source close to the investigation, the suspect was followed by the police thanks to the geolocation of his cell phone.
Investigators suspect him of being the man who appears in the video of a local woman, recorded Sunday evening, in which he hits a delivery man from Uber Eats and utters racist threats and insults. He declares in particular: “you kind of negress, kind of dirty black (…), for 800 years you were sold like cattle”.
The stricken delivery man presented “several wounds” and was taken care of by the firefighters. He lodged a complaint, as did the author of the video who was also targeted by racist insults.
