The mayor of Grenoble, Éric Piolle, is currently in police custody in the premises of the branch of the judicial police of Valence in the Drôme where he went this Tuesday, June 1 at 8:30 a.m. to respond to a summons from the financial brigade, learned Le Dauphiné Libéré.

He must be heard as part of the preliminary investigation for “favoritism” which had been relocated and opened in the spring of 2018 by the Valence prosecutor’s office, on a report from the Regional Chamber of Accounts.

An investigation that had been suspended during the last municipal elections and whose goal is to establish whether the Fusées association had been privileged by being assigned the organization of the 2015 and 2016 editions of the Tile Festival by the services of the City of Grenoble. What is criticized against the City is to have done so without publicity or appeal, the City considering for its part that, in the context of this procedure and for this type of service, the call for competition was not not necessary.

A complaint against X with the constitution of civil party had also been filed by the Grenoble lawyer Bernard Boulloud in September 2019, on the initiative of two Grenobloise women who thus wished to open a judicial investigation on this file. Complaint deemed inadmissible in January 2020 by the public prosecutor of Grenoble.

Faced with investigators from the PJ, Eric Piolle must therefore explain the conditions for the award of these two public contracts amounting to 123,000 euros for the 2015 edition and 128,000 euros for the next.
