The measure which was to come into force from January 1 applies from this Tuesday June 1 in Île-de-France. Crit’Air 4 vehicles, the most polluting, can no longer circulate inside the A86, during the week and during the day, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Only downside: the shortcomings of such a provision in the absence of verbalization.

If you have a Crit’Air 4 vehicle, be careful, it is no longer possible to circulate in the Greater Paris in the same way. From the Tuesday, June 1, 2021, all vehicles with this sticker – the oldest and most polluting – have thedriving ban inside the perimeter of the A86, the motorway which encircles the inner ring of Greater Paris.

Specifically, it is inside the low emission zone (ZFE) du Greater Paris what is diesel vehicles over 15 years old now have the ban on driving. A new step was taken on Tuesday since the establishment of the ZFE in July 2019, who had already banned from circulation Parisian vehicles Crit’Air 5. To put it simply, all types of diesel motor vehicles registered before January 1, 2006, as well as those registered before July 1, 2004 for two-wheelers, are no longer able to drive inside this zone, including 70 municipalities.

So the Metropolis of the Grand Paris supports the action of the City of Paris, which has applied this same measure for a little over a year. On the other hand, the mayors of certain cities such as Bobigny and Créteil are still opposed to the establishment of this ZFE. However, tomorrow the skills in terms of traffic and pollution management should revert to metropolitan areas, if the Climate law is approved by Parliament.

Above all, neither the government nor the regional authorities have announced a strengthening of road checks on this subject. By the end of 2021, an automatic ticketing system should be tested.
