New shared gardens could be built in Chambéry and its surroundings. It was following a call for projects launched by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food as part of the “France relaunch” plan, to support the development of shared and collective gardens, that three projects were retained in Savoie, Bourg-Saint-Maurice, Cognin and Chambéry, for an amount of 107,300 euros.
The three winners presented projects to develop the ecological transition, but also times of animation and discussion.
The first, in Bourg-Saint-Maurice, aims at an intergenerational shared garden. In the Biollay district in Chambéry, Crystal Habitat has bet on a file for the creation of 21 individual plots. Finally, the Cognin Allotment Garden Association presented the project to create the Coteau garden and the development of three existing gardens.
The objective: to produce fruits, vegetables and animal productions in a healthy and sustainable way, and to offer them at low cost to the inhabitants. In other words, it is about developing a friendly space open to all.
