In Thomas and Susanne Jeromin’s apartment from Rinteln, it glitters and flashes in every corner at this time of year, even in the bathroom – and even more than in previous years. On Monday, the record institute for Germany looked at the luminous collection. The result: The reigning Christmas tree world champions have outdone themselves and set a new record with 444 Christmas trees, 42,000 Christmas tree balls and 300 fairy lights.
In summer it starts with decorations
Thomas Jeromin started the preparations for today in the summer. For him, the months of decorating is not stress, but rather relaxation. The Jeromins’ passion for Christmas trees is now so well known that people from all over Germany send them discarded decorations – from tinsel to balls. Last year, the couple made it into the book of world records, back then with 420 trees in their apartment.
