Due to an upcoming hip operation, LASK defender Petar Filipovic will be out for an indefinite period. The intervention originally planned for the winter break will now take place within the next few weeks after medical considerations. LASK announced this on Wednesday.
“The player’s health must always be in the foreground – that is why our medical staff decided, together with Petar, to carry out the procedure now and not just during the winter break in order to prevent an even longer loss,” says LASK head coach Andreas Wieland.
As the next step, further clarifications should take place in the next few days before an operation date is fixed. A serious estimate of the approximate downtime is only possible after the procedure.
