This unusual measure means VW but by no means bad – on the contrary. The workforce should learn something.
VW locks employees in the escape room
VW has recently locked some employees for a whole hour in self-developed escape rooms. Volkswagen wants to get its employees in the mood for the age of electromobility, reports the specialist magazine “Automobilwoche”.
The idea and the first room came about in Zwickau. Logical: Because here the group has completely turned its first plant inside out to e-mobility.

Four VW employees at a time should playfully go through the transformation process from the combustion engine to the electric vehicle in the Escape Room. Accordingly, the room consists of three areas; From the combustion engines, the focus is on the future of the group, i.e. electric motors.

As in classic escape rooms, the participants have to solve puzzles in order to advance. You have 20 minutes to do this per section.
VW plant weitere Escape Rooms
In the meantime, according to the “Automobilwoche”, around 3,000 VW employees have already passed through the Escape Room in Zwickau. Apparently the top management in Wolfsburg thinks the idea is great – that’s why there is now an escape room at the Emden plant, and Skoda’s main Czech plant is also copying the idea.
An escape room is also planned at the US plant in Chattanooga. (red)
