For the first time Austria’s municipalities have 200 female mayors – inland

For the first time, the number of Austrian mayors has reached the 200 mark. The association reported this in a broadcast. With Margit Wennesz-Ehrlich (ÖVP) from Oslip in Burgenland, the 200th head of the community was elected by the local council on Friday, October 15th. This means that women currently head 9.5 percent of the total of 2,095 municipalities in Austria.
