The memory of the 2020 edition, tarnished by Covid contaminations, is very far away. This year, the Caprices Festival in Crans-Montana won hands down the bet of a safe version in terms of health and can be delighted to have welcomed 18,000 people over two weekends. A radiant record that gives the organizers a big smile. “The health concept introduced has proven to be scrupulously respected by all, thus allowing each and every one to benefit fully and in all serenity”, they explain in a press release.

“Something extraordinary”

Emblem of Caprices since its very clever repositioning in the electronic music niche, the Modernity scene has once again won all the votes in terms of experience, setting and quality. “Something extraordinary always happens on this stage, as it probably does nowhere else. A form of total symbiosis between the public and the artists ”, underlines the festival, noting the“ unreal ”atmosphere and the“ very high level ”of the performances aligned by the biggest international DJs, like B2B, Luciano & Ricardo Villalobos – who have combined their talents for the occasion -, Who made Who, Bedouin, Guy Gerber or Ben Klock. Special mention to superstar Solomun, whose arrival last Saturday was a first for Caprices.

The cream of the international scene, then. No wonder the magazine “Forbes” took an interest this year in the festival that brought urban music to the mountains.

A new concept of scenes

This year, the Caprices also released a new concept of stages, with, apart from Modernity, two night stages, the Forest Stage and the Signal Stage, with more underground sets even in a sylvan setting. “Our ambition was to also target a younger audience, with attractive prices and a more techno line-up,” explains the festival. “This initiative allowed many people to experience the Caprices Festival for the first time.”

Le Caprices is still delighted, with a budget of 2 million francs, to have managed to balance its accounts and to calmly consider the next edition which will be held in its original period, in April 2022. Two weekends, from the 8th April 10 and 15 to 17 are already scheduled. And as this autumnal version had its charm and its success, a third weekend is already planned for September 2022.
