A hundred people, registered to participate in the primary of environmentalists which opened this Thursday, did not succeed in voting because of a “excess of security”, learned franceinfo from the management of Europe Ecology the Greens.
Among those registered, the organizers of the primary performed data crossovers. They thus eliminated cases where the same credit card had been used by several people, or dubious emails which could lead to believe that it was a fake profile. In total, just over 1,000 profiles have been removed from the lists. In the lot, there are people who had sincerely registered. This concerns a hundred cases.

Voters who were refused access to the ballot received an email in return explaining to them: “Following checks carried out by our service provider, your registration for the environmentalists primary and your right to vote for this ballot have been suspended.”
EELV has thus received, since Thursday morning, a hundred emails from registered people who could not participate in the first round of the primary. For Sandra Regol, the deputy national secretary of EELV, it is certainly a situation “unfair”, but justified by security. “Between a few dozen far-right trolls, maybe 200 people at the most in the end will be statistical errors, this is really not the disaster”, says Sandra Regol.
Organizers expect to receive more complaints over the weekend. But the pace was to weaken and affect a total of only 200, perhaps 300 people, according to EELV.
120,670 people have officially registered for the primary of environmentalists. The first round started this Thursday morning at 7 a.m. and will end Sunday at 5 p.m. The results will be known on Sunday evening. The second round will take place from Saturday 25 to Tuesday 28 September.
