FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) – After a mixed trading week so far, the German stock market barely moved on Wednesday. The Dax was 0.06 percent in the morning at 15,714.04 points. The leading German index had increased moderately on the two preceding days, but in the end it barely exceeded the 15,700 point mark. According to the experts at Commerzbank, there is currently no clear mood on the market due to mixed perspectives.
The MDax of the 60 medium-sized stock market values fell shortly after the start of trading by 0.30 percent to 35,763.64 points. Hardly anything happened in Europe either, for the leading European index EuroStoxx 50 was a slight minus of 0.10 percent to 4187.49 points.
Bad news is coming from China, where retail and industry are increasingly grappling with the consequences of the corona pandemic. The disappointing economic data from the world’s second largest economy are fueling economic worries that are already simmering around the world. The most important Asian markets then fell into the red. Wall Street had also closed weaker the previous evening, the US leading index Dow Jones Industrial had fallen to its lowest level in almost two months./tav/jha/
