TOULOUSE (dpa-AFX) – The aircraft manufacturer Airbus According to insiders, delivered even fewer machines in August than in July. The manufacturer had handed over about 40 commercial aircraft to its customers after 47 jets a month earlier, reported the Bloomberg news agency on Monday, citing people familiar with the matter. This would mean that the group would have delivered around 380 jets after the first eight months of the year. For the year as a whole, Airbus boss Guillaume Faury has planned around 600 pieces.
An Airbus spokesman did not want to comment on the information. The manufacturer wants to publish its figures on Tuesday.
In terms of new orders, according to insiders, August should meanwhile be the strongest month of the year. Orders for more than 100 aircraft have come in. Most recently, the airlines had Jet2 and delta
