The high intensity thunderstorms which occurred during the night from Friday to Saturday July 31 in Isère caused some damage, in particular in Saint-Paul-de-Varces where 4 mudslides were recorded.

The violent thunderstorms that broke last night in the region are the cause of several mudslides in the town of Saint-Paul-de-Varces, in Isère. The stream “Le Brigadier” has come out of its bed. No less than 4 mudslides were identified on the Chemin de Charrière-Chaude path according to the SDIS 38 firefighters who intervened around 2:30 am. No injuries to deplore. The houses were not affected, but the gardens and the road were covered with mud. A bridge was also washed away from the Echarina road.
