In a statement dated July 30, 2021, the Nahdhaoui deputy Samir Dilou said that the leaders of Ennahdha should ask themselves questions about the wave of euphoria which crossed Tunisia following the announcement of the decisions taken by the president. of the Kais Saied Republic.

They should also ask themselves why the Tunisians destroyed the offices of Ennahdha in different parts of the country, he added.

The politician said he had repeatedly called on the Islamist Movement to be self-critical, yet Party Chairman Rached Ghannouchi did not listen to him.

“Some have accused me of wanting to replace Rached Ghannouchi at the head of the party, others of wanting to leave the ship before it sinks.”

He also denounced calls for violence and endangering the lives of citizens, indicating that several members of Ennahdha share his positions.
