To avoid causing an additional accident, rescuers, law enforcement and experts had to think about a secure intervention plan. Other sites in the vicinity are controlled by SNCF Réseau, according to information from France Bleu Paris. The conditions of access for relief were indeed very complicated after the landslide on this site drilling over thirty meters deep, near the railway tracks.
The investigation, first entrusted to the judicial police by the Evry prosecutor’s office to determine the causes of the disappearance, is now carried out by an examining magistrate to verify whether there were any breaches on the part of the master work, SNCF Réseau. The railway company is conducting an internal investigation.
In the wake of the landslide on Sunday, traffic was interrupted TGV between Paris-Montparnasse train station and the Southwest. He resumed Sunday evening, before returning to normal on Monday morning.
