The health pass will soon be extended to certain trips, confirmed Jean-Baptiste Djebbari, the Minister for Transport. This measure should take effect on August 9. But are coaches and buses concerned? It all depends on the type of trip. For the ten minutes by bus that separate you from your place of work, there is no need to present a health pass. On the other hand, if you are planning an interregional trip by coach, you will need to carry a full vaccination certificate, a PCR or antigen test negative to Covid-19 of less than 72 hours.

More than 400,000 people are affected every day by interregional travel, and therefore by the obligation of the health pass, estimated Jean-Baptiste Djebbari. The checks will therefore be “massive” but not “systematic”.

Beyond coaches, travel by plane, TGV, Intercity or night trains will also be subject to the presentation of a health pass. TER, transiliens and metros will remain accessible to all.
