Apple released the final version of macOS 11.5 tonight and you can install it on your Mac from System Preferences. This minor update from Big Sur essentially brings something new to the Podcasts app, where the Library tab can now show all podcasts or just to which you have subscribed.

The update also fixes several bugs, including one for the Music app which did not always update the play count. This will likely be Big Sur’s last update, Apple is now focusing its efforts on macOS Monterey, scheduled for this fall.

Here are the changes announced by Apple:

macOS Big Sur 11.5 includes the following enhancement for your Mac:

  • The Podcast Library tab lets you choose whether you want to show all podcasts or just the ones you follow.

This release also fixes the following issues:

  • Music sometimes did not update the number of plays and date last played in your library.
  • Smart cards might not work when logging into a Mac with the M1 chip.
