It is the managers of Dua Lipa who will take care of selecting an English candidate for the next Eurovision Song Contest.
This year, singer John Newman finished last after not receiving any points with his song “Embers”, and a plan has already been outlined to uplift the UK score at the next ceremony, which will take place on May 14 in Italy.
TaP Music, a management company that works for artists such as Dua Lipa, Lana Del Rey, and Ellie Goulding, will indeed collaborate with the BBC to choose a song and an artist that will represent our neighbors across the Channel in 2022.
Kate Philips of the BBC said in a statement: “In the UK our love for Eurovision is greater than ever. So we are excited to announce this collaboration which will allow us to find great musical talents. ”
Ben Mawson, TaP, added: “We are excited to be working with the BBC for this event and will be using Eurovision to authentically reflect the musical and diverse talent the UK is known for.”
Dua Lipa told The Sun newspaper: “I am happy to lend my manager to this cause.”
