The Institut national de santé publique du Québec reports three new people with COVID-19 in its Bas-Saint-Laurent territory on June 5. In the past seven days, 33 new cases have been confirmed.
Two cases were added to the results of the Kamouraska MRC and the Basques MRC. Note that the case whose origin was “to be determined” Friday was attributed to one of these two regions.
The health authorities now count 56 active cases in Bas-Saint-Laurent, a statistic down since the day before. The number of hospitalizations is also stable at five. Three people still in intensive care.
Since the start of the pandemic, 3,925 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Bas-Saint-Laurent.

The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours in Quebec, show 228 new cases and 4 new deaths. The Ministry of Health and Social Services reports 283 hospitalizations, a decrease of 24 compared to the day before including 64 people in intensive care, a decrease of 3 compared to the day before.
