COVID-19: three new cases and two additional deaths in Bas-Saint-Laurent

The National Institute of Public Health of Quebec today reports 3 new people with COVID-19 in Bas-Saint-Laurent. There are also two new deaths in the region, bringing the total to 49 since March 2020.

Since May 24, less than 10 positive cases have been detected daily in Bas-Saint-Laurent. All new cases of COVID-19 have been listed in the Rivière-du-Loup RCM. There are 74 active cases in the territory. Nine people (-1) infected with the virus are currently hospitalized in Rimouski, including three in intensive care.

More than 800 screening tests were carried out the day before.
