Since Monday, February 8, 2021 and the implementation of a decree, schoolchildren, college and high school students no longer have the right to wear homemade masks. Only category 1 surgical or “general public” devices are authorized. A measure that forces families to invest in equipping their children with adequate protection.
It is in this context that the Haute-Garonne Departmental Council has just announced a new distribution of masks in the colleges of the territory, from Monday, May 31.
Masks washable 50 times
In total, the 65,000 students, spread over 117 public and private colleges, will receive two new fabric masks from the French brand free of charge RUKO +. Depending on the Department, they can support up to 50 washes.
“This is the fourth distribution in colleges since the start of the September 2020 school year, which represents more than 450,000 masks.”
The community concludes by ensuring that, in the colleges, the 1,200 departmental agents “are fully mobilized to ensure the regular disinfection and ventilation of the premises, in accordance with the health protocol in force in schools”.
