The vaccine against the complications of seasonal influenza provides additional protection to that conferred by the vaccination against COVID-19, according to Public Health. The CISSS Côte-Nord recommends this simple and effective means of protection to various clienteles.

This vaccination campaign will be back at the beginning of November in clinics across the country. Like last year, the flu shot will be available by appointment via clicsanté.ca.

The Public Health of the Côte-Nord particularly invites people with chronic diseases and people 75 years of age and over to be vaccinated. The seasonal flu shot is offered free of charge to target groups, caregivers and health care workers.

The CISSS Côte-Nord also recommends the pneumococcal vaccine offered free of charge to people aged 65 or over and to those suffering from certain diseases.
