The Covid Safe Ticket (CST) has a positive impact on vaccination in Wallonia. Since the announcement of the imminent implementation, from November 1, of this health pass, there have been four times more people who register for vaccination in the south of the country, explains the Minister of Health. Christie Morreale on Saturday in the columns of La Libre Belgique.

She said to herself “satisfied“to see the increase in registrations from people for the first dose.”Before we announced our intention to adopt CST, around September 20, we had about 600 people a day who were first vaccinated. We then went on average to 1200 per day. And since the announcement of the imminent establishment of the CST, we are almost at 2,600-2700 people per day.

Wallonia has also just passed the symbolic milestone of 70% of its population having received at least one dose of a vaccine against Covid-19 (and 82% of adults).

More than 60,000 immunocompromised people have already received their third dose. About the same number remain.

According to the minister, all immunocompromised people have been invited to receive a third dose, and the Walloon health authorities are currently ending the invitations for those over 65.
