The Volkswagen Golf R is available in a SW family version

The sportiest version of the Golf range, the R is based on a proven and powerful engine that allows it to display remarkable performance, especially for a compact station wagon. Its 2.0 TSI unit indeed develops no less than 320 hp and 420 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in only 4.9 seconds (4.7 seconds for the compact). Power goes to the ground via a specially tuned 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DSG7) and 4Motion all-wheel drive. The latter is equipped with the R Performance torque vector transmission allowing the Golf R SW to benefit from two new driving modes, Special and Drift (R Performance pack), exactly like the classic compact. It should be noted that the Golf R SW benefits for the first time from a towing ball capable of towing a braked trailer of up to 1.9 tonnes or supporting a support load of 80 kg.
