Compared to August 2019, the number of passengers in Frankfurt was again almost half of the pre-crisis level. The cumulative number of passengers over the first eight months of the current year was around 12.7 million, a decrease of 15.3 percent compared to the same period in 2020 and 73.2 percent compared to 2019.
The cargo volume increased again and achieved a significant increase of 13.3 percent to 182,362 tons (plus 5.3 percent compared to August 2019), as Fraport further announced.

Compared to the same month of 2019, the Group airports continued to record predominantly declines.
